4) What must I do to prepare for my child's lessons?

  • Please be sure to arrive 10-15 minutes early for your child's lesson. This ensures that you have enough time to change them into their swimsuit, take them to the bathroom, apply sunscreen if needed, etc.

  • Please remember to bring your lesson payment to the first lesson.
If you are paying in full, then it will be the full amount.
If you are paying weekly, then it will be $80. Each following weekly payment is due the Thursday before the next week of lessons.

  • Your child should not eat anything 2 and a half hours before their lesson. They should not eat heavy foods, fruit, dairy or meat protein 4 hours before their lesson.
If they are hungry, they can have simple carbs like crackers, oatmeal or cereal or nut proteins along with clear liquids like water or apple juice.
The reason for this is that if your child happens to drink a lot of pool water during their lesson they may vomit.

  • All children 4 years and under MUST wear two swim diapers - a disposable swim diaper under a non-disposable swim diaper.
*Children should not swim if they have diarrhea or had diarrhea in the past 24 hours.

  • There are no bathroom breaks during the lesson to ensure the best use of time. Please make sure your child uses the bathroom BEFORE each lesson.

  • All siblings must remain with the parents. They are not allowed to climb on the pool stairs or swim in the pool during the lesson.

  • It is your responsibility to bring a towel to the lesson. We encourage you to bring two.

  • Please be sure to read the Parent Handbook found on our Registration & Schedule page for additional information.

5) What are reasons for cancelling my child's lesson?

Your child should not swim if they:

  • have or had a fever in the past 24 hours

  • are or were vomiting in the past 24 hours

  • have or had diarrhea in the past 24 hours

Your child can still swim if they:

  • have an ear infection (but are fever free for 24 hours)

  • have ear tubes

  • have a cold, runny nose or cough

As the parent, it is ultimately your responsibility to decide whether or not you want your child to swim.

In case of bad weather, lessons may be cancelled. Please visit our Blog/Updates page about weather-related cancellations.

*If your child attends the lesson and seems sick or feverish, the instructor reserves the right to shorten or cancel the lesson accordingly.

7) How can you guarantee that my child will learn the swim*float*swim technique in ONE six week session?

We GUARANTEE that your child will learn to swim*float*swim in ONE six week session.

We are confident in our method of training because it has been proven that it works. Your child WILL learn to swim*float*swim because of our consistent, 10 minute lessons that are four days a week. Each swim lesson builds upon what your child learned the day before so you can see measurable progress each week.

Swimming and floating are motor skills that can be taught to your child through repetitive exercises, along with gentle verbal encouragement. During the lessons, we show your child what they need to do, and over a short period of time, they learn the skills necessary to survive. Be assured, we do not throw children into the water! We use a variety of methods, combining the best ideas from swim schools and infant/toddler programs throughout the world. Our goal is to make learning fun so that your child will love his/her water experience.

**If your child doesn't learn the swim*float*swim technique after regularly attending ONE six week session, we will continue teaching them until they graduate at no extra cost to you.

We want your child to be exceptionally equipped for the water and we refuse to test out children unless they are ready.

(This guarantee also applies to the babies who will be learning the floating survival technique in ONE four week session!)
